Properties Salepi
Salepi is an orchid of which bulb the drink that bears the name is produced. This orchid grows and is cultivated/ nourished in the high mountains of the Balkans and the Middle East.
Salepi is a traditionally caloric drink that releives the sore throat and eases the stomach pain. It fights asthma symptoms and may be used as a tranquilizer before sleep because it contains neither caffeine nor theine.
Salepi is also attributed aphrodisiac qualities, this is why in ancient times it was called "Satyrion" (from the ancient greek word Satyros).
