Honey Salep Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 sachets of Salepi Olympos
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 200g water
  • 80g sunflower oil
  • 100g yogurt
  • 80g tahini
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp cocoa
  • 300g self-rising flour
  • 120g honey
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice

For serving

  • Melted chocolate
  • Cocoa powder

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F). Prepare the cake pan with a little oil.
  2. In a bowl, add the Salepi Olympos and the bananas, and mash them with a fork. Add water, oil, yogurt, tahini, cinnamon, baking powder, cocoa, flour, honey, and lemon zest and juice, and mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the cake pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until the cake is cooked through. Serve with melted chocolate and cocoa powder.
