Salep is a natural coagulant traditionally used in Greece as a warming and demulcent drink that soothes the sore throat and eases stomach pain. Combined with Chios Mastiha, Salep contributes significantly to the treatment of peptic ulcers and aids digestion. It also provides relief from common cold symptoms and cough.

According to many studies Mastiha is a herb with great antioxidant and antimicrobial effect.

Ingredients

Sugar, corn starch,cultivated salep 4,3%, cinnamon 1%, ginger 0,6%, cardamom 0,3%, vanillin, clove, Chios Mastiha 2%, traces of salep extract.

Preparation

Dissolve the content of the bagthoroughly in 150ml (medium-sized cup) cold water. Bring to a boil while stirring continuously.Your salep drink is ready!
